Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

It was another not very productive day for me, the sleep problem…

Too bad rosie O’donnell is leaving the view she made it so much more interesting.

We will be staying home for the holiday weekend, a good thing.

Started a new painting, large in comparison.

a couple more studies, some peeps think they look like cocoons, some see ginger roots, someone said a part reminded him of a snail, another says they look bandaged, all well and good.  My intent when I began was to compartmentalize them more as a drawing exercise and I found that I liked the look of them.

Finders Keepers

Monday, May 21st, 2007

So I attended the Venice Art Walk today and left one of my thought bubbles on Abbot Kinney Blvd.  I wrote "Finders Keepers" on it and when I returned later in the afternoon it was gone. It was fun and I think I’ll do it again next week, I can just imagine the surprise when someone realized they found a piece of art.

Thought Bubbles

these are thought bubble pinatas actually. They are filled with goodies. I am taking them to the gallery where I showcase my work before the art walk occurring this weekend. I will post the winning names to my blog once they have redeemed their tickets.

After thought: this is very cool:

Thinking Cap Girl

I spent the day finishing up a painting I started about two weeks ago. Still not completely sure it is finished, I will need to live with it for a while. Its about four feet by three feet.

These are some of my giclees on canvas. I am really delighted about the quality of them as they look exactly like the originals. I commissioned about a hundred wood blocks like the one on the right side edge of the table; you can see the slider hole for hanging and they are cut to the exact size. Plus I thought you might like to see my colorful table cloth with roses from the yard and a little box of godiva chocolates I gave myself for mothers day ;D

below is a giclee of my painting "Sad" and a myerscho piece that I heart and above that the inimitable Frida.
