speechless

Once a week I work my shift at OVA Arts, which is only a two hour block of time, while I was there last week, a woman bought a print of “Speechless” a painting I did a few years ago. I commented, “I see you found a print that resonates with you” and she said, “oh yes”, and proceeded to explain why. Having had nearly no voice for several years which affected her social life, she now can communicate, because a doctor is giving her botox injections in her throat. She is very pleased to have her voice back. It is particularly special when a work of art conveys a meaning that impacts. I could have never guessed this had I not had a conversation, such serendipity to sell a print while I am doing my shift in that small window of time, and hear her story!
