amaryllis progress !

And I did not even get out half the cards I intended, so I offer up the high res image I used for my Christmas card. She has the perfect spoiled brat pouty expression, “YOu better not pout”!! I have uploaded this image high res so if anyone wants to use it or have a copy for an ornament, just cut out her shape and punch a hole at the top after you have printed her. Hang her on your tree, she looks cute. I put red wings behind mine.

You Better Not Pout!!

I simply can not believe its the 25th, and another year is almost over! However you celebrate, whatever your religion or not, have a joyous holiday!

Sally

sally

12 x 40 ”
A bit more glazing and a splash of glitter to glam her up and she will be good to go.

My take on Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas, Tim Burton’s wonderful story. For a show in Detroit called Cindy Lou Who’s Holiday show, based on holiday tv shows or movies. Next, grown up Cindy Lou Who.

Normally on Thursdays I would be packing up to go to the gallery. I am pleased that I don’t have to make the hour long trek, although I did enjoy being at the gallery, the long commute was wearisome.

It seems that every year at this time, I’m tortured with thoughts of my Bro, still can not believe his is gone.

Glad to be holed up in our cozy home, so glad to have a home, and glad pugs are healthy albeit stinky. Wish I could get them to smell like flowers, since they live in my studio, but they always smell like dogs.

Here Comes Krampus Munny

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Krampus Mini Munny Ornament was a lot of work! But fun.

I used apoxie sculpt to create the appendages and to adhere them. Its painted with acrylics and textured with sand. The horns are two coral beads.

Must See!!

Sadness overload

Must turn off the tv. what a way to end a year (Benazir Bhutto) (tigers killing people, etc)

Can’t wait to see Schnabel’s new one, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Schnable is the famous artist from the eighties (plate paintings) turned director. You may remember his movie "Basquiat". With his current film he has been recieving a lot aclaim for his directing abilities; the Golden Globes and Canne Film Fest

We saw I am legend with Will Smith, man it was scary.

We also recently saw No Country for Old Men, which was very intense. I am now officially a Javier Barden (sp) fan, and I can’t get the scene out of my head where in he is speaking to a gas station attendant in his pyschopathic tone, "  call it,  Friendo  "

Of course, Johnny Depp, I mean, Sweeney Todd is a MUST SEE but I may have to go alone since hubby does not at all care for musicals.

Finished some artwork, and I hope to have time to post it here when I return home today. Also, a pic forthcoming of the collage piece art bud Jen sent to me and the sweet icicle ornament from artist Carla Naron and a beautiful heart ornament from Diane Moore fondly known as Enchylatta!. Oh and one of my bestest Christmas cards  eva, from the oh so talented, collage artist Karenann Young.

Bought a big bottle of Archipelago Botanicals Soy Lotion Milk, my friend gave me some a few years ago and I love the scent. Try it!

I’m off to work this morning, well wishes all
